Release of Liability and Assumption of all Risks (“Release”) For Skull & Boners H3
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in Skull & Boners MyWhorial Campout of 2024, and its related events, and activities (collectively, the “Event”), I, the undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that: I am solely responsible for my own survival and well being (as well as responsible for any minors I am bringing), including bringing an adequate supply of water and/or special dietary food not noted to be available at this event, as well as my own shelter. I agree to read and follow applicable federal, state, and local laws as well all signage and written and/or posted rules with respect to the Event. I understand that the nature of the Event entails certain inherent risks and hazards, including without limitation the potential for bodily injury, disease, strains, fractures, burns, permanent paralysis, and death, and while particular skills, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, these risks will remain. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of others, including without limitation the “Released Parties” (as defined below), and I attend solely at my own risk, and no guarantees, expressed or implied, have been made about my safety.
In the event of my injury, accident, or illness, I consent to receive medical care and treatment as deemed advisable in the best judgment of Event personnel and/or appropriate medical professionals. If necessary, I authorize appropriate Event personnel to consent to such medical care and treatment on my behalf. Photographs, video, or sound recordings of any participants or creative work cannot be used for commercial purposes without the express permission of subjects.
I understand that my rego is a revocable license that may be revoked by Skull & Boner MisMan, for any reason, and that all fees and associated costs paid in registration for the Event are not refundable for any reason under any circumstances. Commercial vending and/or advertising are prohibited. I agree to participate with a cooperative and positive attitude.
I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless 1) the owners of the land upon which the Event is held, 2) the organizers of the Event, and volunteers at the Event, 3) any other participants (collectively, the “Released Parties”), with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property associated with, by presence or participation in the Event, whether arising from the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, and to
the fullest extent permitted by law. I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS. IF PART OF THIS RELEASE IS FOUND TO BE INVALID OR OTHERWISE LIMITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IT IS MY INTENTION THAT ALL REMAINING PROVISIONS BE INTERPRETED CONSISTENT WITH THE INTENT EXPRESSED IN THIS PARAGRAPH. I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING MY RIGHT TO SUE. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM SIGNING THIS RELEASE FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.
