This is the 4th installment of the “and Chill” camping series, we will be doing a small Hash camping event and tube down the Itchetucknee River. Come out and hang with friends and enjoy the water This event will not have the usual debauchery and Olympdicks. It will be centered around relaxing around the campfire and tubing down the Itchetucknee River with friends (no booze on the river unfortunately). This is a semi-low-key event at a popular campground. The campground is a private “family” campground and does allow alcohol however, there is a mandatory 11PM noise curfew. There are some RV spots at this campground however, it would be up to you to arrange/pay for that rental, and it’s not guaranteed to be by the hash campsite.

Update: If you bring an RV, there is no Rego fee. The Mgmt is aware of the group now so you can make reservations for RV’s close to the “Jax H3” site or use my name and they will know what you are referring too.
Update: Unfortunately, the midpoint launch at Itchetucknee is closed which means the float is probably around an hour long from Dampier Landing but we can repeat tubing as often as we want. The Kayak Launch at the North end is still open.
I will probably have some sort of special beverage in a cooler for Sat.

Date: Aug. 21 – 23.
Place: The Itchetucknee Springs Campground, 245 SW Breckenridge Ln, Fort White, FL 32038
Cost: $25 Cash or Venmo. The money will cover the cost of the campground, firewood, potable water for cooking, coffee, and gas for the grill. Hash Cash will be collected day of but REGO IN ADVANCE is required. (Why so CHEAP? Because everything is expensive these days and you need a break so we are trying to only break even.) If we happen to do better than break even on this venture, any additional funds will go to the “Two Titmice Breast Cancer Foundation”

Schedule:
Friday PM: Arrival 4PM, camp set up, dinner and chill.
Shot trail around 9PM if we are so motivated.
Saturday AM: Bfast by 7AM;
State Park by 830AM
Saturday PM: Back from Park around 1PM for Lunch
Campsite games (Yard Dice, Cards Against, Camp Jenga, etc.)
Dinner around 7PM
Campfire Afterwards
Sunday AM: up and exit by 11AM
This is also a BYOE (everything) event. Food will not be provided but I will have a double burner camp stove and griddle available for community use as well as coffee in the morning.
Cap is 25 people max.

Cash/Exact change is recommended but they do take cards.
Your Rego does not cover Tubing: The cost for the tubing can be from $7 to $30 per tube, average Tube is about $13. You can checkout tube types in advance at: https://ichetuckneesprings.com/. Or bring your own tube to inflate.
You need a tram ticket to get to the river of $7.00 plus tax.
Park entrance fee of $5 per vehicle: Car-pooling is highly encouraged.
For those more adventurous that want to yak or canoe, there is a launch in the park along with some hiking and biking trails. I would recommend visiting the site for details on those in advance.
