Pickens County Humane Society is a non-profit organization operated by fundraisers and community support through donations. PCHS does not receive funding from the county, state, nor any city in which the organization serves. Pickens County Humane Society is the only NO-kill shelter in Pickens County and one of few in our region. PCHS is the only shelter in Pickens County that aids felines. PCHS is a safe refuge & temporary home for 700-1,000 stray, unable to be cared for or simply unwanted pets, each year.
