Optional cash donations or items needed by the shelter such as: Laundry Detergent, Dish detergent, Pine-Sol, Bleach, Trash Bags (30 and 50 gallon), Foam Squeegee head replacements, Cat Litter, Dog and Cat Toys, Dry Puppy Food, Dry Kitten Food, Dry Adult Dog Food - NOTE: Please no Alpo or Gravy Train, Grain free dry adult cat food, New or Gently Used Stuffed Animals, leashes/ collars / harnesses, blankets/ towels (new or gently used), 40x60 fleece blankets, cedar chips, pooper scoopers, paper towels, medical gloves, scrub brushes.
Pickens County Humane Society is a non-profit organization operated by fundraisers and community support through donations. PCHS does not receive funding from the county, state, nor any city in which the organization serves. Pickens County Humane Society is the only NO-kill shelter in Pickens County and one of few in our region. PCHS is the only shelter in Pickens County that aids felines.
PCHS is a safe refuge & temporary home for 700-1,000 stray, unable to be cared for or simply unwanted pets, each year.
