ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK, RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE.
THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in Hash de Tucson (herein after referred to as the “Event”), I agree to the following terms.

1. Only adults at least 21 years old may participate in the event. I am at least 21 years of age. Participants will be carded, bring ID on trail.

2. The event includes the consumption of alcohol. According to the Center for Disease Control excessive alcohol use has immediate effects that increase the risk of many harmful health conditions. These are most often the result of binge drinking and include the following:

 Injuries, such as motor vehicle crashes, falls, drownings, and burns.
 Violence, including homicide, suicide, sexual assault, and intimate partner violence.
 Alcohol poisoning, a medical emergency that results from high blood alcohol levels.
 Risky sexual behaviors, including unprotected sex or sex with multiple partners. These behaviors can result in unintended pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV.
 Miscarriage and stillbirth or fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs) among pregnant women.

Over time, excessive alcohol use can lead to the development of chronic diseases and other serious problems including:

 High blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, and digestive problems.
 Cancer of the breast, mouth, throat, esophagus, liver, and colon.
 Learning and memory problems, including dementia and poor school performance.
 Mental health problems, including depression and anxiety.
 Social problems, including lost productivity, family problems, and unemployment.
 Alcohol dependence, or alcoholism.

3. The event includes running, walking, hiking and orienteering on both public and private property. These sports involve inherent risks including, but not limited to the following:

 Slips, trips and falls
 Contact with other participants
 The effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity
 Traffic and the conditions of the road
 Contact with venomous or dangerous animals, insects or plants in outdoor areas
 Hazards of trails, access roads, transport by motor vehicles
 Permanent injury, disability, or death

4. Combining alcohol consumption with running, walking, hiking and orienteering increases the likelihood of serious injury or death.

5. The above list does not contain all possible risks associated with event. I assume all risks of participating in the event, both known and unknown.

6. I will not participate in any part of the event unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by submitting this rego, I certify that I am medically able to perform all activities associated with the event and am in good health, and I am properly trained.

7. I choose voluntarily to participate in the event. I will abstain from any part of the event that exceeds my physical capabilities.

8. I am responsible for my own safety before, during, and after the event.

9. By submitting this rego, I waive any right I have, or may have in the future, to sue the event’s participants and organizers (JHavelina H3, Mr. Happy H3, Honey Badger H3, and Pedafiles Bash), both individually and collectively, for any loss, damage, expense or injury to myself, including death, arising out of my participation in Hash de Tucson, due to any
cause whatsoever, INCLUDING, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF HASH DE TUCSON ORGANIZERS AND/OR PARTICIPANTS.

10. I agree that my issue, heirs, executors and assigns shall also be bound by this agreement.

11. I recognize that the use of alcohol may impair my judgment and the judgement of others associated with this event, and agree to take responsibility for my own safety.

12. Should any part of this agreement be found unenforceable the remainder of the agreement will remain intact.

13. If I get hurt, it’s my own damn fault and I’m not going to sue anyone.
