You may have heard we had been planning a version of Sex On On with a canoe trip down the Suwannee this year. That didn’t pan out but, we will be doing a smallish Hash camping event to tube down the Itchetucknee River Sept. 9 – 11.
The Itchetucknee Springs Campground is at 245 SW Breckenridge Ln, Fort White, FL 32038
Cost: $40 Cash – No Venmo or pay-pal options.
This is also a BYOB event.
Cap is 40 people max.
The $40 gets you camping at the site plus: Food and a Gimmie mug as well as a Toe Tag.
Come out and hang with friends and enjoy the water but, this event will not have the usual debauchery and Olympdicks. It will be centered around relaxing around the campfire and tubing down the Itchetucknee River with friends (no booze on the river unfortunately). This will need to be semi-low key as it is a popular campground. Also, car pooling is highly encouraged.
The campground is a private “family” campground but does allow alcohol.
Friday PM: Arrival 4PM and Dinner (Burger/Dogs/Chips) dinner around 7 PM
Saturday AM: Bfast by 7AM
State Park by 830AM
Saturday PM: Back from Park around 1PM for Lunch
Campsite games (Yard Dice, Cards Against, Camp Jenga, etc.) Looking into possible campsite trail.
Diner around 7PM and Shot trail around 9PM.
Your Rego does not cover Tubing: The cost for the tubing can be anywhere from $7 to $30 per tube. It looks like the average Tube is about $13. In additional to that, you need to account for a tram ticket to get to the river of $7.00 plus tax. And the Park entrance fee of $5 per vehicle. You can checkout tube types in advance at: https://ichetuckneesprings.com/. Cash/Exact change is recommended. For those more adventurous that want to yak or canoe, there is a launch in the park along with some hiking and biking trails. I would recommend visiting the site for details in advance on those in advance.
There are some RV spots at this campground however, it would be up to you to arrange/pay for that rental and it’s not guaranteed to be by the hash campsite.
