Hillbilly Hash House Harriers presents DC Full Moon's May 2026 trail at Bare Bottom. Bare Bottom is an amazing campground offering primitive camping along the Shenandoah River. It's open to hashers and hash adjacent people. It's owned by Read Between the Slime and he graciously allows groups to visit throughout the year.
The main trail will begin with a potluck dinner at 6:09 p.m. Hillbilly will provide burgers (meat and veggie). Hillbilly will also provide drinks for trail and circle. All of this for $10, which includes $1 to DC Full Moon and the rental of a porta potty. On out will be after dinner, or at approximately 6:69 p.m.
Everything else is on your own. There is a river and a limited opportunity to shower. There will be no additional food or drinks provided. So bring what you need and hopefully something to share.
Directions (via Slime): From WV Route 115 go South on Mission Road to a left turn to remain on Mission Rd (gravel portion) to a right turn on Christ Church Rd then a left turn on Patriots Way. Bare Bottom is the first home after the gate. Electronically: Final destination (but use an intermediate waypoint to avoid horribly maintained roads) is 1648 Patriots Way Harper’s Ferry, WV 25425 The intermediate Waypoint is Intersection of Mission Rd & Christ Church Rd, Harper’s Ferry, WV
Final destination on Google Maps: “545W+636 Riverside, WV” (Note the site of “Bare Bottom” is incorrectly placed in Apple and Google Maps, use the address instead) Intermediate Waypoint on Google Maps: “5564+HF6 Riverside, West Virginia”
