The wait is finally over; the season for the Highland Games is upon us!
Who: Hillbilly Hash House Harriers
What: The 6th Anal Hillbilly Highland Games
When: August 26-28, 2016
Check-in opens at 4:00pm on Friday and the fun doesn’t stop until 12:00pm on Sunday
Where: A brand new venue in beautiful Charlottesville, VA
Camp Albemarle features 4 rustic cabins* with 20 bunks each, 2 bath houses complete with showers, a main lodge for indoor eating and a giant front porch with seating, a covered pavilion with more seating, a fire pit, and a river skirting the property.
*If you’d rather pitch a tent and sleep in the good ole out of doors you can do that too. Sorry no RV’s so glamping is out.
Why: Join us at the rustic Camp Albemarle for 3 days of beer, food, trails, beer, music, debauchery, beer, and hammerschlagen.
Wow: Gimmies, toe tag, games, bonfires, shot and dessert contest, prizes and the coveted hillbilly dog tag earned by a couple of our favorite wankers.
Important Stuff: Friday night is the Shot and Dessert Contest. You are competing for bragging rights and a prize so bring your A-game.
Importanter Stuff: No-one under 21 – DUH! No partial weekend regos – Make hashing a priority and stay all 3 days. No refunds – If you screwed up and can’t attend, feel free to transfer your rego. Email Jed the details after you complete the deal (a waiver will be required at check-in). No pets – Find a sitter. Fido can go without you for a few days. NO EXCEPTIONS
Bed linens/pillows, cardboard and duct tape for the boat race (assembly time is limited to Sunday morning), bug spray, poison ivy block, and tent supplies if you want ‘em. Dignity optional but in no way required.
