It has been a long time in the making. We were thwarted by a pandemic five years ago, but it has finally arrived… FHKIT: The return to Korea! If you miss the motherland from having hashed in Korea, always wondered why Korea hashing is such a big deal or simply love to travel hash whether you have hashed in Korea already or not, it is time to sign up!

We are offering a prelube, main event and a postlube for your convenience. Since the event is nearly a year out, we are still working out the details but need commitments to finalize details and price. At the end of this message, you will find the required down payments and the estimated total cost of each portion of the event

Please register and submit your down payment NLT 1 November 2024 to lock in your space for the Pre and Postlubes.

Notes: Schedule subject to kennel availability for Hab -size up by 2 sizes

Finalized pricing will be emailed on 1 January 2025 with full payment due no later than 1 March 2025. There will be no refunds after 15 January, however, regos may be transferred with coordination.

General comments:
Included in all options: all hashes and hashpitality snacks/beverages

• Meals- all meals will be on your own so that you can explore Korean cuisine,
• Main event hotel- There will be a hash hotel identified but this will allow those with points a chance to save $
• Local transportation in/around Seoul and the bus ticket to Osan (since we can’t buy ahead of time)- we will use public transportation to get to trails (just like most Korean hashers do)
• Tourist Activities, (time is built in the schedule so you can explore)
• Notes: If you are doing the prelube we encourage you to fly in over the weekend (with the time change it will be ~ 1 ½ days travel from most places in the US). That will give you a couple of days of touring in Seoul where there is lots to see before we hit the road on Wednesday.

Prelube ($190)
Prelube Rego includes transportation, 2 nights lodging (Wednesday and Thursday double occupancy), road snacks, 3 hashes, and admission to Haesindang Park

Wednesday 25 June –
-AM Travel to Chuncheon
-Seoul Hash House Harriers (men only) and the Wandering Women Hash House Harriers (women only),
-Explore dak galbi street (dak galbi is a tasty spicy chicken dish that originated in Chuncheon).
-Evening travel to Sockcho Beach town

Thursday 26 June –
-38th Parallel Hash House Harriers (Sokcho sits at a latitude of 38.2 so we’ll truly experience the 38th Parallel)
-Travel to Haesingang Park (famous penis park which has some wonderful phallic shaped art).
-Overnight in local hotel

Friday 27 June –
-Mystery Hash enroute to Seoul

Main Event ($110)
Rego includes 5 hashes, hab item (this is the ONLY leg that includes hab), and hashpitality beverages/snacks.

Friday 27 June –
-Registration at the hash hotel
-Seoul Full Moon Hash House Harriers
-Party on the hill in Itaewon/Midnight at the Grand Ole Opry where we often held circles after trail.

Saturday 28 June –
-Trail-Yongsan Kimchi Hash House Harriers Seoul
-Bus to Osan (not included in cost)
-Trail-Osan Hash House Harriers.
-Return to Seoul

Sunday 29 June –
-Trail-Hanyang Hash House Harriers (Korean run kennel on the peninsula)
-Trail-Seoul Southside Hash House Harriers (somewhere south of the Han River).

Postlube ($870)
Rego includes transportation 4 nights lodging (Monday through Thursday, double occupancy), road snacks/beverages, and up to 5 hashes depending on coordination with the local kennels.

Monday 30 June –

Friday 4 July –
-Travel to Seoul Gimhae & train to Pyeongtaek
-Trail- Not Quite Right (NQR) Hash House Harriers.

The Postlube ends after the NQR trail. You can stay in Pyeongtaek or return to Seoul and lodging is your responsibility at this point.
If you are returning to the US, you will cross the international date line on the way home so you will land the same day you departed.
