EWH3 #1495: (Wild) Turkey Day Trail, 27 November 2025, Huntington Metro North Entrance / Exit / Huntington Avenue (Yellow)

It is generally assumed that the Pilgrims celebrated a harvest feast in Plymouth in 1621. 404 years later, we will, too. Previous organizers of the EWH3 Turkey Day Trail went into retirement, so somebody else had to do it. A change of venue seemed wise; your hares and many members of mis-management live in Alexandria, so it has been moved a bit south.

But, most of the rest of the traditions remain.
1. Pre-lube (and On After) will be at start.
2. Start is at 11 a.m. because, "if you don't start drinking in the morning ..." You will have plenty of time to get on with other celebrations.
3. There will be shots of Wild Turkey.
4. There will be trail, but no separate runners' trail. If you need to get a running fix in, your hares suggest doing a local Turkey Trot - there are plenty of options in the DMV.
5. Assuming we have enough mismanagement participation, we will have a circle and other "official" activities.

Fun facts about Pilgrims:
A. The lands the English laid claim to as colonies, around 38 degrees north latitude, were assumed to have a climate similar to the Mediterranean region, which also lies on that parallel; boy, were they wrong.
B. Hence the need for spirits. Sadly, Wild Turkey 101 did not exist in 1621; Wild Turkeys did, and they can be found in Massachusetts, to this day.
C. Having fled religious persecution to come to the new world, the Pilgrims wasted little time in doing the same here
