Happy New Year you wankers! 2024 was one wild ride from an debilitating election cycle to memorable heart warming summer Olympic moments and pop girlies popping off during Brat Summer and all the viral moments in between that kept us laughing and distracted from existential dread while looking for a man in finance, because remember in der club we all fam!

Let’s make sure we give our flowers where they are due and pay homage to all the icons that graced us with their existence this past 2024.

So let’s Shake Off it and grieve the endings of the Eras tour, celebrate the rise of all the pop girlies (Chappel, Sabrina, Gracie, Charlie, Dua Lipa), but just remember JoJo Siwa invented gay pop. Let’s not forget our Olympic legends whether it be America’s sweethearts and dancing with the star finalists our pommel horse king Stephen and Rugby star and SI Swimsuit cover model Ilona, or if ballroom wasn’t your thing bust a move like Australian legend RayGun. If you are well endowed just make sure its contained so you don’t flop like the French pole vaulter, or at least remember to Hawk Tuah and put some spit on that thang because the D is fire. Our 2024 reality stars did their job making us feel better about our lives from Scandavol, to Love Island, to swinging mormon momtok!

And at least we had an overload of cuteness between Moo Dang and Pesto the Penguin, and we didn’t have to mourn the loss of any esteemed animals this year (RIP Harambe 2016).

So whatever viral moment, meme, tiktok, olympics athlete or pop girlie has had a chokehold on your this year like Brian Jordan Alverez has had on me (Steam English Teacher on Hulu), dress up and lets really hold space for all those who defied gravity this year before the new stars of 2025 start taking their place.
