Charleston is the number one U.S. travel destination according to Conde Nast, Travel and Leisure, Southern Living, US News, etc.
Charleston has many beautiful hotels, motels, Airbnbs, a hostel, and several campgrounds. But the nightly rates reflect Charleston's status as a tourist destination.
To make this an affordable hash event, please consider sharing rooms. If you find an inexpensive room, it may require extra money for transportation to and from the event. Keep that in mind. It is a tradeoff.
As of July 2023, there are hotels within a mile of the event starting point for $150-200 per night. The sooner you book your room, the better. There is a dorm style hostel with bed rates of $42/night. (NotSo Hostel)
Any campgrounds in the area may be cheaper, but are farther away.
