The annual Six Pack 10 K rules are as follows
The Six Pack 10 involves drinking 6 12oz beers (minimum 4.5% ABV) and running one time on the course set around Diamond Head. Runners will begin by running a hundred meters to the first beer check and finishing one beer at that beer check before heading on to the next station.
Key rules being no shotgunning/tampering, finishing the beer before going to the next station, and no skipping stations.
The Basics
Six Beers, Six Stations: Drink one beer, run the mile to the next station, repeat six times on the 10K course.
Beer Check/Aid Station: Beers must be consumed in entirety at the station. Runners are disqualified if they take off before finishing the beer.
Beer Specifications
Volume: Standard 12 oz (355 mL) cans or bottles.
Type: Must be beer (fermented, hops, malted grains). Exceptions are allowed if they are provided by the Runner and meet the minimum APV.
ABV: Minimum 4.5% alcohol by volume (seltzers/hard cider are allowed. (NA Drinks are allowed but NA runners cannot win the event).
No Advantage Containers: No wide-mouth bottles or modified cans.
Rules of Consumption & Running
No Tampering: No shotgunning or puncturing cans (except the tab).
Finish Before leaving the station: The entire can/bottle must be empty before you exit the beer check/aid station
Show Empty Can: Hold the empty can overhead to prove it's empty.
Eagle Challenge will consist of an extra beverage in addition to the beers provided at every station.
