August 31st will mark the 50th anniversary of the first recorded hash house harrier run in Pennsylvania and the inaugural run of the fourth hash club in the United States: The Laurel Highlands Hash House Harriers. (more info on the history https://www.gotothehash.net/history/ItS-USA.pdf)
We will be celebrating this milestone with a hash just outside of Ohiopyle, PA, gem of the Laurel Highlands. Trail will be followed by circle and a party. Camping is available Saturday through Monday.
Date: Sunday, August 31st
Time: 2 pm Hash Standard Time (HST)
Where: 415 Maple Summit Rd, Mill Run, PA
Hash Cash: $15
Accommodations: Camping will be available Saturday through Monday (Aug 30-Sept 1). There are hotels and Air BnBs in the region as well.
Details:
Trail will start from Rising Knob, at 415 Maple Summit Rd. Eagle and Chicken trails will be available. We will have food to grill and snacks for the Apres, as well as beer, but feel free to bring some to share.
Note that cell service in this area is lacking, so you'll want to print out directions ahead of time.
