Ever want to ring in the New Year 24x in Key West? Well now is your chance. Join us this New Year's Eve to help us ring in the New Year in each of the worlds 24 time zones starting with patch of sea in the Pacific that rings in the New Year first, and then continuing to New Zealand, Australia, etc, until we reach the last one in Hawaii, 24 hours later. We will count down the New Year each hour, at a different bar or location in Key West each hour on the hour.
Hasher and civilians(NOT MUGGLES) are welcome to join in at anytime. The fee will cover a Neon event tshirt(so that the drunk drivers can see us), hats, horns, mugs, toe tags, and any other crap we can find. We will try and stockpile coupons and chips for the bars so that drinks will not be too expensive(drinks are pay as you go). Hashers are encouraged to share drinks along the way, and nap if necessary. We will hit most of the classic bars in Key West, as well as some out of the way ones that most people dont know.
Since the island is only 1 x 4 miles, it will NOT be a ball buster. Extra credit bars will be available, and the brand new " Key West Street Bingo" game will be played between stops with ca$h prizes to the winners. Other games and fun activities will also ensue. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and something to jump into bodies of water along the way(hot tubs, pools, and the ocean).
Special commemorative coins will be awarded to those who complete the ENTIRE challenge. Note that this an expensive time of year to visit Key West, and limited hash crash space is available, so book as soon as you can afford to do so.
