Information about Joel
This fundraiser is for Joel Chalfant (29), who grew up in Athens, Ohio and currently lives in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Friday, January 22, Joel had a serious motorcycle accident and has been in ICU with a traumatic brain injury. Though in an induced coma, he has shown signs of responsiveness and his family is ever hopeful for his recovery. The medical costs are mounting and will be substantial. His physical therapy will be extensive and many months. Joel did not have medical insurance so this fundraiser is not just to cover a deductible - it's for everything.
Your prayers have been welcoming and healing. We are sure Joel is sensing all the words of good faith. God is by his side and his mother's faith is unshakeable. He is surrounded by his loving brother and sister, father, aunts and cousins. If you have the fortune to know Joel personally, you know him by his smile, his laugh, his love for his family.
